PNCQ attended the event that took place in late November in the city of La Paz, Bolivia.

Taking into account the need to elaborate control samples with better reactivity, as established by the international standards, PNCQ decided to expand two PRO-EX Advanced Programs, since the presence of antibodies of several analytes in the same control sample can hinder the existence of reactivity in some of them.

During the last years we witnessed a “boom “in the implantation of Quality Management Systems in laboratories of clinical analyses. With the increase of the demands in the Accreditation and Certification standards, the firms noticed that these programs, if implanted seriously and effectively, can bring great results.

Dr. Francisco Edison Pacifici Guimarães, PNCQ Superintendent, presented data and informed about the results, statistics and the new advancements of PNCQ in relation to its programs during the meeting of the National Program of Quality Control - PNCQ with the representatives of the Clinical Laboratories and the Participating Blood Banks. The meeting was held on the 20th of June, during the 45th Brazilian Congress of Clinical Analyses - CBAC.

PNCQ launches samples for Internal Quality Control for TLR in TOTAL BLOOD for:

PNCQ discloses the IFCC’s document - International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine - about the assessment of the Glucose Meters in intensive care.

The Internal Quality Control samples - PRO-IN have Instructions for Use with all the necessary information, including storage indications, stability, instructions for the correct reconstitution of the freeze-dried materials, Average Values and Standard Deviation (SD) of each constituent, in several methods.

The XXIII Latin American Congress of Clinical Biochemistry - COLABIOCLI 2017, an event organized by the Latin American Confederation of Clinical Biochemistry, will take place from 17 to 20 September in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

Monthly PNCQ makes available the Monthly Assessments of the Participating Laboratories, so that they are analyzed for the results of the analytes: B (Good), A (Acceptable) and I (Unacceptable). But we realize that many labs have the habit of printing the Assessment, for discussion with the technicians.
