PNCQ obtained, through the General Coordination for Accreditation of Inmetro (Cgcre), the Accreditation as a Producer of Certified Reference Materials (MRC), according to the ABNT NBR ISO 17034: 2017 standard.
The MRC PNCQ is a Reference Material accompanied by a certificate, with property values and defined uncertainties, used at all stages of measurement, including for analytical methods validation as well as for measurement systems calibration. This MRC is a calibrator of human origin, stabilized and lyophilized with known concentrations and purity. Measured standards with certified values were determined using internationally traceable standards. The MRC is packed and lyophilized in an amber bottle, with a 2 mL volume.
The following Biochemistry MRCs are available: Uric Acid, Calcium, Chlorine, Cholesterol, Creatinine, Glucose, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium, Triglycerides and Urea.
The demand for new, higher-quality reference materials is growing as a consequence of improved accuracy in measurement equipment and the requirement for more accurate and reliable data in the analytical procedures area in Clinical Laboratory Accreditation processes and validation of reactions of in vitro diagnostics. New parameters are in characterization phase to broaden the scope of the PNCQ’s MRC in the laboratory analysis area.
A Reference Material Producer needs to demonstrate its technical and scientific competence to ensure the appropriate quality in the production of an MRC. PNCQ is a pioneer in the production of MRC in this Clinical Chemistry segment.
The PNCQ was evaluated by a team of experts from the General Coordination for Accreditation of Inmetro (Cgcre), who granted the PNCQ expertise in Reference Material Production.
